The Muslim population, making up about 14% of Uganda’s total population, often resides in underdeveloped regions where access to basic needs and services is limited.

Approximately 21.4% of Ugandans live below the national poverty line, with higher rates in rural areas.
EDUCATION
The net primary school enrolment rate is about 90%, but the quality of education remains a challenge, with high dropout rates and low completion rates.
WATER & SANITATION
Only 19% of the rural population has access to improved sanitation facilities, and 72% has access to safe drinking water.
HEALTH
Access to healthcare in rural areas is limited, contributing to high rates of preventable diseases.
